Eric is an adept researcher and evaluator with specialist knowledge of the cultural sector and over 20 years of experience working in theatre, museums, and the visual arts.
Having begun his career at cultural consultancy Audiences Yorkshire, where he was trained in quantitative and qualitative research techniques and project management, Eric went on to pursue a career in arts marketing and communications, including senior positions with Sheffield Theatres, Sheffield Museums and National Museums Scotland.
Returning to his research roots, Eric developed a freelance portfolio in the field of heritage evaluation and audience development. He has a curious mind and in recent years has expanded his work into social research, with a particular interest in social policy and cultural identity.
Eric is an experienced facilitator and interviewer who draws on his communications background to interpret data and turn it into clear, practical, insight.
